My PC Backup is an online backup solution that makes it easy to backup and safeguard your valuable computer files. The Blue Screen of Death, Crashes, and Other Fender Benders At some point or another, if you are a PC user, you will have seen the proverbial blue screen of death. The first time it happens to you, the shock is immediate and just a little unsettling. And to be honest, it never gets easier. There are many causes for the blue screen of death and other computer crashes. It could be an error on your disk drive. It could be the result of malware, a virus, or a Trojan. Whatever the cause, crashes are a sign that there is something wrong with your operating system, software program(s), or possibly even your hardware. They may not always be serious issues, but they do need to be addressed. Backup PlanAs in life, so too with your PC: always have a backup plan. These days, people are using their computers, tablets, and smartphones for more diverse activities than ever before. The problem is that we are amassing files and data at such a fast rate that few of us ever take the time to back things up. Years ago, most PC users would occasionally copy files to a floppy of a CD, but more and more, people are just trusting that their data is safe on their computers. Add that to the fact that we are buying movies, music, and apps from Internet sources like iTunes, the Android Market, and the App Store, and you begin to see that we have hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars of data on our computers. It only makes sense to back up you information. Enter My PC BackupMy PC Backup is the best online backup solution we have found. You simply backup your files to My PC Backup. Your files can then be accessed from any device, including your mobile devices, such as an iPhone, other smartphone, or a tablet. Files can also be synced from multiple computers and shared with family and friends. My PC Backup uses a small desktop application that backs up all your computers to the cloud. Your files are continuously backed up and can be accessed from anywhere in the world at any time. All files are securely accessed and constantly encrypted using a 256-bit secured socket layer encryption. Files are stored in My PC Backup’s home cloud data centers where they are monitored 24 hours a day. Best of all, you can join for free, and there is unlimited storage. Backing up information to CDs and flash drives are always a good idea. However, most of us don’t have the time or inclination to do so. My PC Backup is therefore an excellent alternative to securely and safely back up your data.

HP Rolls Out the New Magic Canvas UI(0)
HP Announces New Magic Canvas Software for Omni 27, and ALL New Desktop ModelsHP has announced that their redesigned Magic Canvas software – previously called TouchSmart – will be featured in the upcoming HP Omni 27 all-in one PC. Even better, it went on to state that all new desktops will now include the Magic Canvas UI including some previously announced but as yet unreleased models. The redesigned UI retains popular features that are reminiscent of tablet interfaces. There will be virtually unlimited home screens and widgets that can be placed anywhere a user chooses. Multiple documents can remain open on different home screens and you can stick notes anywhere you wish. The main new feature is the ability to access and launch windows programs without leaving the Magic Canvas interface. Although HP has acquired Palm and its highly praised Web OS there seems to be no integration of features specific to Web OS. During the first quarter of 2012, the company will be rolling out several new PCs and monitors that will be targeted to different segments of the market. There will be devices that are targeted to home users as well as the business community and gamers. The Magic Canvas UI will extend to all those new desktops and not be restricted to touch-screen models. Two New HP PCs This WeekThis week sees the arrival of two PCs; The non-touch Omni 27 and the Pavilion HPE h9 Phoenix, which is aimed at gamers. The Omni 27 will be the first non touch model to feature the redesigned UI and will cost a reasonable $1199.99. For that price, you get the following specs:
The graphics will be integrated. Some reviewers who have used the device complained that the screen resolution, though 1080p, is not of the highest quality. At its current price, though, that may well be an acceptable trade-off for many users. Here is what you will get with the Pavilion HPE h9 Phoenix:
If you are not an AMD lover there will be an Intel-friendly motherboard available with a few different processor options — including the Core i7-3960X. Liquid cooling will be an option for those who want it, and users will also be able to opt for a secondary hard drive. Three monitors aimed at business users were also announced. The Compaq L2311c will feature a 23 inch display and a built in port replicator. It will connect to Laptops via USB 2.0 and 3.0 as well as traditional VGA. The L2311c will cost $319 and also features a webcam. The power chord will charge an HP laptop. The Compaq L2311c will be available in February. The more affordable LV1911 and LV2011 monitors will be available in March. Both monitors will be LED-Backlit and will cost $125 and $135, respectively. |

Bug Detective – Which Programs Are Crashing Your Computer(0) With 90% of the world still running windows based computers, it’s no wonder that the demand for aftermarket tools to fix the bugs and crashing programs windows is famous for are so popular. Keeping in mind that these types of repair programs are a dime a dozen, it’s not often we come across an application that really stands out from it’s competitors. This is the case with the newly updated Reimage System Repair tool ( www.reimagesystemrepair.com ) that we had the chance to test on our offices Windows computers. One of the most fascinating tools included with the Reimage utility is an application that tells you which programs caused your computer to crash and exactly when the last crash happened because of it. For instance, on our test computer it reported that the Windows shut down feature was crashing frequently, and that iTunes was also causing the system to act weird. To our knowledge, this is the only program on the market that provides such a valuable insight into what is causing your Windows computer to crash or freeze up. The program can be downloaded and used on your PC computer at no charge for the diagnostic version which is great if you are just looking to see which programs are causing you problems. It has all the usual registry repair features – registry cleaning tools etc that most major registry programs have, but has an exclusive feature where the program is able to replace any damaged files in the Windows program with fresh, bug free files directly from Microsoft. This feature is a patented element of the program, and insures that you are fixing the problems in your system instead of just patching them over.
