Registry Patrol has been on the market since 2002, making it one of the oldest and most established diagnostic software applications on the web. A brain child of Patrol Software labs, who also publish the Identity Protection system Identity Patrol, Registry Patrol is a true one click Windows diagnostic program.
The new Registry Patrol version has been a long time in the making. After more than 3 million downloads of their 3.0 version over the past four years, we were surprised to see the substantial changes and new features that were added to the new version. The orginal version of Registry Patrol was straight forward and easy to use - which is why it was a hit with consumers. The new Registry Patrol packs dozens of new features into it - many of which are extremely inovative and really take the program to a new level in both what it offers to the user, and how it stacks up against the other registry / diagnostic programs being offered online.
As with the previous version - the new Registry Patrol is a stable application that unlike many of its competitors, wont freeze up your system or steal processing speed. The program was extemely effective in finding errors on our three test systems, and as in its previous version, was as simple as clicking a button to fix the problems. Registry Patrol has also introduced a new feature that looks specifically for what is causing common Windows errors and malfunctions that are not related to the registry component of your operating system. RP also comes with a built in tool to reset all of your Internet Explorer browser settings to their correct settings.
